Key Safety Arrangements
1. Home & Remote Working
Most of our work related to iceg.co.uk is carried out remotely or from home. We will:
• Provide guidance on setting up safe ergonomic workstations
• Ensure electrical equipment is safe and maintained
• Manage display screen equipment use to reduce eye strain and fatigue
• Support staff with mental health and work-life balance
• Carry out risk assessments for home working where required
2. Office / Premises Safety
Where we operate from shared or dedicated premises:
• Maintain safe access, exits and fire escape routes
• Provide working fire alarms, extinguishers and regular fire risk assessments
• Ensure adequate lighting, ventilation and heating
• Store materials and equipment safely
• Manage slips, trips and falls risks
3. Equipment & Electrical Safety
• Only use equipment suitable for its intended purpose
• Maintain computers, power supplies and other devices in safe condition
• Carry out portable appliance testing (PAT) as required
• Provide clear instructions for safe use of all tools and systems
4. Mental Health & Wellbeing
• Promote a supportive working environment free from stress or bullying
• Encourage open discussion of mental health concerns
• Signpost to support resources and adjust workloads where possible
5. Risk Assessment
We will identify hazards, assess risks and put controls in place before starting any activity. Risk assessments will be reviewed regularly and whenever work changes.
6. Accidents, Near-Misses & Emergencies
• Report all accidents, injuries and near-misses to [Insert contact name/email] immediately
• Keep required records in our accident book and report serious incidents to the Health and Safety Executive (HSE) under RIDDOR where necessary
• Provide clear emergency procedures for fire, first aid and other incidents
• Maintain adequate first aid provision
Training & Information
• Provide all staff with basic health and safety induction
• Deliver additional training for specific tasks or higher-risk activities
• Keep everyone updated on changes to legislation or procedures
